May 20, 2026 – ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS — RanMarine Technology B.V. (“RanMarine”), a provider of autonomous surface vessels for waterway clean-up and environmental monitoring, today announced a leadership transition. The planned evolution of RanMarine’s leadership structure, approved by its Board of Directors, is designed to support the company as it scales commercially and strengthens its financial and operational infrastructure ahead of future capital markets initiatives.

Michael E. Foss, currently Chairman of the Board, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, and founder Richard Hardiman has been appointed President. Mr. Hardiman will continue to lead product strategy, innovation, and RanMarine’s European headquarters, and will remain a member of the Board.
Mr. Foss brings more than three decades of public-company leadership experience, including multiple CEO and CFO roles. As CEO, he will focus on commercial expansion—particularly in North America—operational discipline, and capital strategy.
Mr. Hardiman will continue to drive RanMarine’s product roadmap, including the expansion of its autonomous vessel platforms and integrated water-quality sensing capabilities.
RanMarine’s solutions are deployed across ports, marinas, inland waterways, and commercial enterprises, supporting customers in addressing floating waste, pollution monitoring, and emerging water-quality challenges.
“Mike and I share a clear vision for RanMarine’s next phase,” said Richard Hardiman. “This transition allows me to focus on advancing our technology and product leadership while supporting the company’s continued growth.”
“RanMarine is at an inflection point as demand for scalable water-quality solutions accelerates globally,” said Michael Foss. “Our priority is to expand commercial adoption, strengthen execution, and position the company for its next phase of growth.”
With the global economic impact of marine plastic estimated to be between $6 billion and $19 billion per year and the cost of algae blooms in the U.S. alone approximated at $1 billion annually, the demand for efficient, cost-effective waste collection methods is escalating. In addition, providing real-time water quality data to entities can provide early warning of major issues allowing remediation to start earlier thereby reducing the overall impact. RanMarine is uniquely positioned to capitalize on these opportunities with its expanding suite of products, including the WasteShark, MegaShark, and OilShark, offering sustainable solutions to the pressing environmental challenges of today’s aquatic spaces.
