The Safety Test: Preventing the "Toxin Bomb"
The biggest fear in algae treatment is “cellular lysis”, popping the algae cells and releasing a massive spike of stored toxins into the water.
The Risk (Orange Line): In the untreated control group, as algae naturally died off, it released a dangerous spike of microcystins (toxins) around Day 10.
