On the other side of Boerhaar René Martha van Krinkels from Wouw shows another innovation in the management of waterways. His company has carried out a pilot in the port of Rotterdam and the waters around Dordrecht with mini-boat that collects litter from the water. In Rotterdam the trash shark operated independently, just like automatic mowers do on a lawn, in watercourses with reeds and inlets, Martha uses a remote control.


Oxygen and depth 

But the drone can do more, because it can also measure the oxygen content and the depth of the water and, for example, get duckweed. "We can clear ponds and water in nature reserves without causing damage," Martha says.
